Your video content is excellent. When it comes to chat around the water cooler, your streaming site is the one on everybody's lips. Unfortunately, the battle's only half won. Now it's time to focus on keeping your users engaged. That means interesting user journeys and opening up as many different paths to content discovery as possible.

That's where articles come in. Whether it's news content, blogs, biographies, reviews, promo pieces or any other kind of written content, Skylark's rich, relationship-driven metadata modelling means you can seamlessly integrate articles into your site. All this empowers your users to find out more about the world of content you're opening up to them and keeps them coming back for more.

Interested? Here's how to create articles in Skylark:

Create an Article

  • Click + Create, then Create Object

  • Choose Article

  • Select a Type of Article

  • Write a description of your article to help users discover it

  • Use the Body field to write your article and embed any imagery or video you want to use

  • Hit the Create Article button

That's it! Now all you need to do is assign an availability rule so that Skylark can share your work with the world.

We recommend adding relationships to other objects in Skylark in order to ensure your user journeys are as wide-ranging and versatile as possible.

Here's the workflow in action:

Embedding Imagery and Video

The body field in Skylark's Article object is powered by a WYSIWYG editor which allows you to quickly and easily embed imagery and video directly into your articles for maximum efficiency.

Here's how:

  • Find the object you wish to add a video to

  • Find the body field

  • Click Insert, to embed a video, choose media

  • Choose Embed, then paste in your embed code

  • Click Save in the WYSIWYG editor

  • Click Save again to save these changes to your object
